If you're seriously considering welcoming a lagotto puppy in your family, and you wish to own a Valburg puppy, the first step is getting in touch.
We place great emphasis on getting to know the future families of our puppies; therefore, we ask everyone to write an introductory email. In your introduction, please mention why you would like a Lagotto, how many of you are in the family, what your future goal is with the puppy. We try to anwer every email within 48 hours.
We believe that the primary aspect when choosing a puppy is the character, hence we recommend a puppy to each family. The prospective owner's lifestyle, expectations, and future goals have the greatest significance; these are the main factors in the procedure of choosing your future lagotto puppy. We always try to take colour and gender preferences into account, when possible. The reservation of the puppy before the age of 6 weeks can be made by acknowledging this.
When every question arising is discussed, our contract is sent to you for reading. We always ask for a feedback in email regarding whether you have read the contract, and agree with our terms. Of course. if there is any clause that needs further explanation, or you have a modification request, feel free to let us know.
If the contract matter is cleared, the reservation can be made after the puppies turn 1 week. Until that, we only accept registrations to the waiting list, since before depositing we need to see whether the puppies develop as expected. The deposit is 50% of the puppy's price, of which we issue a wire invoice simultaneously with signing the preliinary contract.
Photos and videos are made of the puppies weekly, so you can follow their development. They can be first visited when they turn 6 weeks.
The puppy's handover is scheduled according to the law; we always check the pet import requirements of the buyer's country. We are always delighted to meet our puppies' families in person, however, we can also assist with organising international transport for the puppy, which comes as an extra on the price. The remaining amount of the purchase price has to be settled by the time of the handover.
Each puppy gets its unique identification number simultaneously with the first vaccination.
Our puppies are handed over with the age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. An EU Pet Passport is issued for each of them.
The vaccination protocol we use:
For the adults:
After taking the puppy home, it's advocated to discuss the continuation of the vaccination program with your choosen veterinarian. We use the protocol mentioned above, however, the program may differ based on your location and vet.
A pedigree is issued for every puppy. In case it does not arrive by the time of the handover, it is posted to the buyer's address (stipulated in the contract).
Every serious inquirer can see our contract after introduction. We offer 100% guarantee for the genetic diseases known in the lagotto breed. A wire invoice is issued in every case.
After reservation, an Owner's Guide is sent, from which you can prepare for the arrival of the puppy. Besides many practical and useful tips, it contains the suggested equipments and accessories. Of course, if there are any questions, we are more than happy to help.
We always joyously answer every question even after the puppy moves home. Be it regarding feeding, rearing, grooming, or anything you have in mind.
